Today, we proudly announced the completion of 6 brand-new homes in Blayney, made possible through the NSW Government’s CHIF (Community Housing Innovation Fund) and SHAF (Social Housing Accelerator Fund) initiatives.
These modern homes will provide a safe and supportive space for up to 9 tenants, giving them not only a place to call home but also access to reduced energy bills and the opportunity to age in place.
As of January 2025, 14 individuals were in need of social housing in Blayney. These new homes will help reduce the current waitlist by more than half, which is truly an incredible outcome for the community.
We were thrilled to celebrate this milestone with the hard working Housing Plus team, The Hon. Stephen Lawrence MLC, The Hon. Paul Toole MP and the leadership team at Blayney Shire Council.
The contributions of the state and local government to this project will leave a lasting legacy on the Blayney community and for that we thank them. We look forward to continuing to work to deliver much needed housing to our region.
