Waste Removal Options

Unsure how to have bulky waste removed from your property? We’ve collected options from around our areas below, click on your local area to find out more.

Bathurst Regional Council

Bathurst residents do not have access to a bulky waste service through the council, however many problem waste items such as paint, gas bottles and motor oil can be dropped off for free at the Waste Management Centre.

Tenants may be entitled to a “tip voucher” to allow free disposal of items, and these can be collected from our office.

Dubbo residents are entitled to 1 free bulky rubbish collection per financial year. This service must be pre-booked with the council, and you can find all the information including how to book on their website here.

Orange City Council runs an annual bulky waste kerbside pickup, usually in January/February.

For other times of the year many items can be disposed of, for a fee, at the Resource Recovery Centre. Some items of furniture and household items can be donated for free to the Recovery Shop.

Mid-Western Regional Council has no bulky waste pickup service, however disposal of household waste and recycling is free at all waste facilities.

Lithgow City Council runs free bulky waste collection days twice per year, however you must register for a pickup.

Blayney Shire Council offers a free kerbside bulky waste collection  once per year. These dates are listed on their website here.

Towns and villages in Cabonne Shire do not have access to a free bulky waste pickup, and waste dropped off at their Waste Management Facilities may cost you money.
